SMALL BUSINESS SHOUT OUT: ARTS & CULTURE
If you had an opportunity to attend 4th Floor Artists Open Studios, Rockland Markets, or Rockland Day, you understand how important arts & culture is for Rockland. They help bring people together, create fun, and add a dynamic element to events. The artist, performers, and creative makers are small business, too. Rockland is better with their contributions. As we support small business think of artist Linsey Albrecht's perspective:
"I’ve always loved looking at little local flea markets and antique stores. You can never find the same items anywhere else, which is why it’s necessary to preserve the small business. In a world of sameness, it’s important to have the little local places that give myself and other artists a chance to bring something unique to people, something that NO other person in the world has in their home, and that’s a pretty cool thing."

BOSTON BRICK CO.
"...memories of imagination and creativity sparked something that is still with me today. And as great as it is to have official LEGO® stores near us, there really isn't any local community-driven LEGO® resale store in the Greater Boston area where you can pick your own LEGO® brick, find retired sets, minifigs, or MOC's for sale. So... rather than wait for one, I decided I would start one myself. With that said, my promise to you is I plan to be here for as long as I have your support. My goal is to have a place for Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) and children alike for many years to come." - Sean Gildea, Owner
Boston Brick Co. is the latest and greatest small business to open in Rockland. What a treat it is to have the busy shop on Union Street! The store carries individual mini figures, a Build-A-Fig station, Pick-A-Brick tables, new, used, retired sets, and much more! Sean has been floored by the excitement clients and LEGO fans have for the store. Fans are everywhere. Customers come to the store from as far as Maine. He adds, "By far the most positive impact is the gratitude people show towards having a LEGO resale store here in town. Personally, I’m very excited to give back to my community. For example, we are currently raising money for the South Shore Food Bank. Learn more at https://bosbrick.com/.
