WHO WE ARE

REiMAGINE ROCKLAND was formed through the support of the Massachusetts Downtown Initiative Grant, which offers services and assistance to help us build a bustling downtown that is inclusive, prosperous, and attractive. We respect Rockland's historical past and have an eye to the future as we REiMAGINE a downtown that combines our strengths and identifies new opportunities.

The mission of REiMAGINE ROCKLAND is to lead a community-based effort to create a vibrant downtown on and around Rockland’s Union Street corridor.

It's led by a Board of Directors that has attracted the interest of town officials, business owners, local artists, residents, and stakeholders who are committed to being part of the initiative.

We have formed several active working committees in response to the community’s highest priorities and interests. Initiatives include:

  • Developing a diverse commercial district
  • Showcasing businesses and supporting opportunities
  • Planning and promoting a calendar of events
  • Cleaning up and beautifying Union Street
  • Capitalizing on art and culture as a downtown catalyst
